Think: citrus, semi-sweet chocolate and ginger.
Ana and Iris Alvarado own and maintain approximately 12 hectares of land growing Catuai, Parainema and Lempira varieties in the Copán region of Honduras. They are both members of the producer organization CACAFCAL, which assists with improving production while utilizing organic practices. Ana is the mother of two girls and one boy, manages her own farm, and works as a teacher in the local school. Iris graduated as a taster from the Honduran Institute of Coffee, became a licensed Q grader, and serves as production manager in the Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas, a local cooperative. We are thrilled to be buying their coffee for the second year in a row. In the cup you may find notes of citrus, semi-sweet chocolate and ginger.
