Think: nougat, orange spice, and caramel

Ana Isabel, Iris, and Lourdes own and maintain approximately 12 hectares of land growing Catuai, Parainema and Lempira varieties in the Copán region of Honduras. All three are members of the producer organization COCAFCAL, which assists with improving production while utilizing organic practices. Ana is the mother of two girls and one boy, manages her own farm, and works as a teacher in the local school. Iris graduated as a taster from the Honduran Institute of Coffee, became a licensed Q grader, and serves as production manager in the Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas, a local cooperative. We are thrilled to be buying their coffee for the third year in a row. In the cup you may find notes of nougat, orange spice, and caramel.

Included in the price of this coffee is a 20 cent per pound premium to benefit “Flor del Campo”, which is a women-run organization focused on production and sales of roasted coffee from Las Capucas to local towns in the region.
