Think: plum, citrus, and cocoa
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and the southern region of Sidamo is known for its complex and fruit-forward coffees. Coffees here are grown at very high altitude by smallholder farmers and are delivered to a centralized washing station where, in this case, they are depulped and fully washed. In Ethiopia many different local varieties often grow together, which is often categorized simply as “heirloom”. In the cup you will find notes of plum, red grape, and cantaloupe all highlighted by lemony acidity.
